Your data is yours. We don't sell it, we don't use it to train AI, and we only keep what's necessary to run the service.
This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it. No legalese, just straight talk.
Account Information
- • Email address (for login via Clerk Auth)
- • Payment info (handled by Stripe - we never see your card number)
- • Usage data (which tools you use, when - for your dashboard)
Content You Create
- • Documents, prompts, and other content you save
- • Data retention varies by subscription tier
- • Temporary processing: AI requests are processed and immediately discarded
Technical Data
- • IP address (for rate limiting and security)
- • Browser type and device info (for compatibility)
- • Error logs (to fix bugs)
We use your data to:
- Provide the services you're paying for (or using for free)
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Send important service updates (not marketing spam)
- Enforce usage limits based on subscription tier
- Debug issues and improve performance
- Prevent abuse and fraud
We NEVER:
- Sell or rent your personal information
- Use your content to train AI models
- Share your data with advertisers
- Look at your content unless you ask for support
We only share your data with services essential to running WorkGeniusAI:
- Clerk: Handles authentication (they manage your login securely)
- Stripe: Processes payments (PCI compliant, we never see card details)
- Supabase: Stores your saved content (encrypted at rest)
- OpenAI: Processes AI requests (content isn't retained or used for training when using our API key)
- Vercel: Hosts the application (handles traffic and CDN)
We'll also share data if legally required (subpoena, court order) but we'll notify you if allowed by law.
We use minimal cookies, only what's necessary:
- Authentication cookies (to keep you logged in)
- Preference cookies (theme settings, etc.)
- Security cookies (to prevent CSRF attacks)
We don't use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or creepy ad tech. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no data brokers. Your privacy matters more than surveillance capitalism.
You have the right to:
- Access: Download your data anytime
- Correct: Update incorrect information
- Delete: Remove your account and data
- Port: Export your content in standard formats
- Object: Opt out of any processing you don't like
To exercise these rights, just contact us. We'll respond within 30 days (usually much faster).
We take security seriously:
- All data encrypted in transit (HTTPS everywhere)
- Database encrypted at rest
- Regular security updates and monitoring
- Secure authentication via Clerk
- PCI-compliant payment processing via Stripe
If we ever have a breach (knock on wood), we'll notify affected users within 72 hours.
If we change this policy significantly, we'll email you. Small clarifications might happen without notice, but we'll never weaken your privacy protections without telling you.
